Recently I met my new friend. We talked for hours, walked in a drizzling rain, went to the beach in the dark. We had a great time and conversation.
In talking with her, I realized how far I came. My attitude towards everything has changed. Like the saying goes, “Do not look for me in the past. I am not there anymore.” It rings so true to me.
I realized all the struggles I been through in the past only made me stronger. The people who treated me unfairly are no longer in my life. Some things that I would be dead serious about before, just made me laugh. I know what I want and nothing will stop me.
By talking to my friend, I glanced into my past and right now. I came a LONG way. Wow! I am not afraid of little setbacks anymore. It only makes me stronger. Setbacks are just a little building blocks that goes to the top of the castle of our dreams come true.

By summing up all our conversations about life and people, an enormous gratitude filled my heart. I am grateful for:
1. My family and friends. You are truly amazing, each one of you!
2. My health. Where I was and where I am now – HUGE difference!
3. My pets who give an unconditional bundles of love and joy.
4. A peace in my heart. Forgiveness plays a huge part.
5. My self-confidence. Gosh, even my back is straight and I see clearer.
6. My cheerfulness and positivity. A simple smile makes the whole difference not only for me, but for others.
7. My creativity and curiosity. I LOVE making ordinary into extraordinary, to challenge myself to see in creative ways.
8. Challenges. They teach me lessons and test me how strong I’ve become. It builds a character, so bring it on.
9. New opportunities that unexpectedly present themselves.
10. LIFE. I cherish every minute that I am alive!
What are you grateful in your life?

Love and gratefulness are very synonymous, that it could be used in one word: Lovefulness. When we love, we are grateful, and when we are grateful, we love. Love can be romantic, and love can be for family and friends. Also, love can be for life. When we have love in our hearts, everything we do reflect that. We become passionate. We have a zest for life. We start to notice small things that matter. We appreciate many things in our lives, unnoticed before. Our faces light up, and our hearts expand. We have a great care for each other. We even start to see hearts everywhere, unexpectedly:

Hearts in the sky

Hearts in Morning Glory

Heart inside the stone

A heart in the sand that was left by someone

A heart between orchid petals

A heart in the flower

Hearts in Bougainvillea

Heart between the tree branches

Even puppy has a heart on her forehead

A heart on Sandhill Crane’s head

A heart within a heart <3
Have a loveful kind of day
and may your heart see the beauty in the world.

Wonderful things happen when we least expect it. I am speechless and thankful to John Pocino who wrote this about me and posted on CNN iReport. Although we met just for a few short times, he read me as an open book:
“Today we are blessed with advances in technology that allows everyone to express themselves on their own level. The artist within comes Alive.
This technology allows other to create and demonstrate expressions that were trapped within the thoughts or each individual. It allows for personal growth and expression that couldn’t be achieved in the past. Anyone can purchase expensive equipment that enhances his or her work. Whether it be a Cannon 5D or the RED Camera.
But in the mist of all this technology, there is still the true artist. The one individual who takes a basic camera and creates. Creates more then pictures but create life. They only have to open their eyes to see the beauty of the world and push a button to capture that beauty for all to see.
Ineta McParland is such a person. I had the pleasure of viewing a new book that is being published. While viewing the pages they seem to jump out at me and capture my imagination. It’s not that Sarasota is beautiful; it is that Ineta demonstrated through her eyes and through the lens what her heart sees in Sarasota.
She doesn’t own an expensive Cannon 5D, but with only a modest camera she uses her heart and soul to expose the beauty she sees. Her eyes are not just the windows of her soul but also the reflection of her heart. For each photo represents her love for life. An intellect would have to put mathematic equations to her style; they could not accept that the soul produces beauty that is unexplainable. Her decrypted writing enhances the vision she holds in her mine. She allows us the pleasure of experiencing her work and for that we are grateful.
There are other great photographers in the area, but I am talking about Ineta McParland. She brings beauty to the world and the people that surround her. And for that we are in a better place.
I would cherish the book with her autograph, and share it to other generations to view. It’s simple in design but complex in content.”
